The Overrule in 2015

The Overrule is a tennis betting service tailored to the needs of individual subscribers covering 22 tournaments at ATP, WTA, and Grand Slam level. The aim of The Overrule is to provide subscribers value where it concerns pre-match match betting and outrights/specials as well input into matches that have the potential to offer in-play trade flexibility. The Overrule caters to multiple out bettors (bettors who have access to a variety of bookmakers) and Pinnacle bettors (bettors who primarily place the majority of their selections through Pinnacle due to being restricted with other bookmakers).

Last season across 139 applicable match-bet selections The Overrule beat the Pinnacle close 60.43% of the time and by 10 ticks or more 38.85% of the time. Since the start of the 2013 season (when The Overrule began to track against Pinnacle) a £100 per point/unit bettor has profited to the tune of £2548 on match-bets across 189 selections with a ROI of 6.18%.

Since inception in 2008 The Overrule's record for multiple out bettors reads;

Bets: 735
Stake: 1867.50 points
Profit: +199.57 points (£19,957 profit for a £100 per point bettor)
ROI: 10.69%

The Overrule considers a good season to be a 3-5% ROI and is returning over double that lifetime.

How much does the service cost and when can I join?

New subscribers are able to purchase the entire 2015 season for £312 (includes service charge).

There are two opportunities to join The Overrule; either for the full season beginning with the Australian Open or at the mid-point in the week leading up to the French Open.

Mid-season subscriptions can be purchased for £208 (includes service charge) between May 18th - May 24th.

What is the payment method?

The payment method is via Pay Pal.

How many selections are likely to be advised over the season?

The Overrule would anticipate between 160-220 selections over the course of the entire season across the 22 tournaments.

What is the staking plan?

The Overrule will be advising stakes between 0.5 to a maximum of 3 points. Most selections tend to be 1 or 2 point selections.

Where it concerns outright each-way selections the maximum advised would be 1.5 points each-way for a total outlay of 3 points.

For a £100 per point bettor this means the maximum stake any selection would carry is £300.

Due to the inconsistent nature of Pinnacle's outright tennis offerings The Overrule will no longer be documenting/advising selections against the Pinnacle outright market. However, selections will still be advised against other books and the corresponding value price to allow Pinnacle users to back those outrights at their own discretion if the opportunity allows them to do so. If a time comes where Pinnacle offer outrights for tennis consistently before tournaments begin along with each-way opportunities then The Overrule will be happy to advise such selections in future seasons.

Which books are being used to quote prices?

Bet 365, Sky Bet, Boylesports, Betfred, Sportingbet, Bet Victor, Paddy Power, Pinnacle, Stan James, 888 Sport, Ladbrokes, Coral, William Hill, Winner, BWIN, and Betfair Sportsbook (not the exchanges).

The Overrule always advises the price at which a selection is worthy of value to enable subscribers to avoid backing selections that may have shortened too much by the time they were able to get on. Selection e-mails contain the selection, followed by the best available price for multiple outs, followed by the best available price at Pinnacle, followed by the price at which the selection is worthy of value to us.

The Overrule does not quote prices available on exchanges.

How do I receive the selections and write-ups?

Selections and write-ups are sent via e-mail only. It is preferable to use a gmail account to receive e-mails. Write-ups are sent around 30-60 minutes following selection e-mails.

Will I receive notice as to when to expect a selection?

Yes. Release warnings are sent out 5 (five) minutes prior to selection e-mails being sent. Release warnings are sent via e-mail and posted on The Overrule twitter account.

At the start of each tournament week a 3 hour time slot is set out to expect releases. No releases will be sent outside of that time slot. On days where no selections are to be advised during tournaments an e-mail is sent to declare that there are no selections to add. This no-selection e-mail is generally sent towards the end of the 3 hour time slot in case any market movement develops before the end that will allow us an opportunity to enter the market.

The Overrule has subscribers from multiple continents and the 3 hour time slot is set to try as best as possible to appease all subscribers.

What should I expect in terms of content?

During write-ups The Overrule attempts to provide clarity on pricing, market movement, background, match-up, form, and injury. As well as write-ups following each selection The Overrule also takes a long term view at outright Grand Slam markets with overviews of the market well ahead of time. This is done to allow subscribers opportunity to potentially set up healthy Grand Slam market books by the time those events come around.

Samples available on request.
